Norman P. Nowak, Company Founder Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Assumption Grotto Church, 13770 Gratiot, for Norman P. Nowak, 67, of 14022 Glenwood. He died Thursday. Mr. Nowak was founder of Variety Vendors Inc., and a pioneer in the variety machine vending business. He was president of the company until his retirement three years ago. He was a member of the Michigan Tobacco Distributors and Vendors Association and the National Automatic Merchandising Association. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Donald and Kenneth; two daughters, Mrs. Marilynn Bruley and Mrs. Carleen Walls, and 12 grandchildren. Rosary will be said at 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the Weitenberner Funeral Home, 13841 Gratiot. A vigil service will be at 8 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be In Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
