Frederick “Fritz” was born in Toledo, OH on May 9, 1921 son to the late Henry & Louise Racker.
He was a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers & World War II Bombers group of Nashville, TN. Mr. Racker was a Flight Engineer with the Army Air Corps during World War II. Fritz owned and operated his steel manufacturing company, Racker Industries, Inc. Proud of his German heritage as a first generation American, both parents being immigrants from Germany.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years, Virginia Emily Racker.
Survivors include his children, Barbara (Jim) Kirk, Patricia (Frank) Tyree, Emily (John) Voss & Frederick Racker, Jr.; 10 grandchildren & 19 great grandchildren.
Private burial will take place at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 113 8th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37203 where a celebration of Frederick’s life will be conducted at 3:00 pm.
