He was a retired interior decorator and a member of one of Rapides Parish oldest pioneer families. He was a descendant of Pierre Baillio II, the builder and original owner of Kent House. Another of his ancestors founded Rosalie Plantation.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gladys Baillio of Alexandria; one son, Hugh C. Baillio of New Orleans; one daughter, Mrs. Violet Adams of New Orleans; one brother, Jim Baillio of Shreveport; one sister, Mrs. Clara Welch of New Orleans; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of John Kramer and Son. Visitation at the funeral home will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.
