Miss Burns was a kindergarten teacher at Springdale School when I was there. My brother had her, while I had the other kindergarten teacher, Mrs. O'Leary a few years later. Even though she wasn't my teacher, I liked her, and always remembered she was born on Leap Year's Day. I don't know how I found that out to begin with! Every Leap Year while I was in elementary school I made her a birthday card and gave it to her.
The kindergarten teachers at Springdale were both great, but I was always glad I didn't have the same teacher as my brother. The only teacher we both had was Mr. Minyo, in 6th grade and he did his best not to compare us.
