Earl was born July 1, 1930 in Randolph County, AL to the late Leon and Lillie Strong.
He was preceded in death by his 1st wife Betty Jean Knight Strong, his son Andrew Earl Strong, Jr. and his six sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 8, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. EST at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley, AL. The Rev. Earl Pirkle officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Tuesday morning from 11 AM EST until 1 PM EST.
He is survived by his wife, Decie Robinson Jenkins Strong and 4 daughters, Alicia Boelter and husband Tom, Choshee Murray and husband Dave, Jhoshee Garcia and husband Denver, Alicia Ann Wruck and husband Jim, his 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and multiple step grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Leona Lake and Odean Hayes , and brother, John W. Strong and wife Nelly; and nieces and nephews.
Earl retired from General Motors in Flint, Michigan after 39 years. He moved back to GA in 2002. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and brother. He loved to be surrounded by his family and play games and tell stories. He was an Alabama fan living in a Dawg house. He loved his music and his coffee. He was always kind and a farmer at heart.
