Alex was a student and member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, Junior Usher Board, Edna Martin Christian Center after school program, and the Saturday Kid's Church at the Brookside Center. He loved his entire family. He also loved riding his bicycle, tennis, dancing, music, and basketball. He also played the saxophone and was an organ donor.

He is survived by the grandmother who raised him, Mary Ann James Anthony, mother, Angela D. Anthony; brothers, Tyrone Michael Smith, Gregory L. Coleman, Robert L. Drummond, Jr., and Michael Drummond; sisters, Chaitina T. Anthony, Crystal A. Johnson, Michelle Drummond, and Kathy Gunn; great- grandmother, Betty Jane Anthony; favorite aunt, Tina (ReeRee) Anthony; uncles, Eric James, Brian Anthony, Bobby Lomax, Jr., Christopher Anthony, and Tyrone Anthony; and many nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

Cause of senseless death: Shot to death. Caught in the crossfire between two cars while walking home. He was a block away from home.
