She was the 5th child born on April 28, 1928 to John Franklin and Dola Mae Davis Wright.
She was predeceased by her parents, three brothers (John, Ben & Jack), and five sisters (Lenore, Arlene, Mattie, Todd & Barbara).
She is survived by her husband of 67 years Cliff Burnett of Lavaca, a daughter Franque Coleman and husband John, and two sons; Mike Burnett and wife Ruth of Lavaca, and Mark Burnett and wife Judy of Shady Point, Oklahoma, four grandchildren; Anthony Burnett, Daniel Burnett, Morgan Harper & Mandy Bovos, and great-grandchildren, Kaile, Adam, Landrey, Preston & Hadley, one sister, Frankie Myher and husband Lawrence of Roland, Oklahoma and one brother, Jimmy Wright and wife Kathy of Wichita, Kansas.
Colene was a homemaker and a member of the Lavaca Methodist Church, although her illness had kept her from attending for many years. She loved doing anything outside and made amazing pies. She devoted her life to her husband & children and like many women of her generation she sacrificed many of her own dreams in order to help her children achieve their own.
There will be a Celebration of Life 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2016 at Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel Hwy 96 & 255 Lavaca, Arkansas.
At Colene’s request there will be a private family Graveside Service.
