Elna Diane Guymon, age 69 of Rigby passed away on January 30, 2016 at her home.
Elna was born March 19, 1946, in Rexburg, Idaho, daughter of Mark and Erma Grover. She grew up in Archer, Idaho and graduated from Madison High School.
Elna married Larry Guymon on February 20, 1965 in Elko, Nevada. Last year they celebrated 50 years of marriage. Together they had six children that she loved with all of her heart. Elna’s professional career included Manager of Maverik & Circle K Stores and a Corporate Trainer for Jackson’s Foods Stores until she retired.
Elna enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, quilting, shopping, traveling, NASCAR racing, participating in car shows, online auctions and spending time at her cabin in Island Park. She held various positions in the church including Ward & Stake Camp Director, Young Women’s Stake Presidency and Primary Teacher. Elna loved attending her grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s events and was their number one supporter.
Elna is survived by her husband Larry Guymon of Rigby, children; Guy(Georgiana) Guymon of Rexburg, Gina Singer of Idaho Falls, Corrina (Doug) Ossmen of Rigby, Monica (Chuck) Pauley of Idaho Falls, Layne (Cheryl) Guymon of Rigby. Sister; Marilyn Glenn of Idaho Falls. Brother; DeMar Grover of Rexburg. She and Larry have 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Elna was preceded in death by her parents, son Rory Guymon, son in law Chris Singer, granddaughter Aubrey Guymon and brothers Monte and Bradley Grover.
Funeral services we be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Rigby South Stake Center-106 N 3800 E, on Friday, February 5, 2016. The family will visit with friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at Eckersell Funeral Home and Friday morning from 9:45 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. at the Rigby South Stake Center. Burial will be at the Sutton Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.eckersellfuneralhome.com.
