Mrs. Whitlock was a homemaker and a member of the church of Christ, Gladstone, Mo.
Born Oct. 12, 1915, in Amazonia, MO., she moved to St. Joseph in 1933, and to Gladstone, Mo., in 1957. She recently returned to St. Joseph.
In 1933, she married Clyde Brinson. He died in 1957. Later that year, she may Whitlock. He died in 1976.
Mrs. Whitlock also was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Nina Tilton; two sisters, Dorothy Schiemer and violet Grand; and two brothers, Harlan and Virgil Akes.
Surviving: three brothers, Jaems W. Akes, Parker, Kan., and Dan Akes and Frank Tilton, both of St. Joseph; and two sisters, Doris M. Violett, St. Joseph, and Betty J. Perkins, Muscogee, Okla.
Graveside service and burial: today, Ashland Cemetery, St. Joseph, MO.
