MOORESVILLE- Marshall Edward "Shorty" Anderson, 83, 138 Heritage Place, died Tuesday (April 15, 1997) at his home.
Born Feb. 12, 1914, in Rowan County, Mr. Anderson was a son of the late Marshall Mott and Nannie London Anderson. He had retired as a construction worker at Duke Power.
Survivors include son Jackie Anderson, Mooresville; daughter Betty Overcash, Mooresville; brother Grady Anderson, Douglasville, Ga.; sisters Kathleen White, Ethel Ervin and Edith Shulenburger, all of Salisbury, and Martha Graham, Mooresville; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
Services: 4 p.m. Thursday, Neill Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Charles Patton. Burial, St. Luke's Lutheran Church cemetery, Bear Poplar.
Visitation: 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
