Ruth Anne Bowden
Ruth "Anne" Clark Bowden, 69, of Caldwell, ID, passed away peacefully at home January 16, 2016.
She was born August 4, 1946 at Fort McPherson in Atlanta, GA, to George and Hazel Clark. She lived in Decatur, GA, from 1946 to 1966. At age 20, Anne began to explore the world; she lived in many places including: Jacksonville, FL, Phoenix, AZ, Salt Lake City, UT, El Cajon, CA, Lakeside, CA, and Escondido, CA.
On December 18, 1973, Anne married LeGrand Clifford Bowden in the Mesa Arizona LDS Temple. Together they had three sons: Jeffery LeGrand, Taylor Evan, and Jonathan Bruce (who was born at only 20 weeks gestation).
After LeGrand's father Clifford passed away, Anne and LeGrand moved into the family home/farm in Caldwell, ID, where they currently live.
Anne is known for being an avid Family History Guru/Genealogist. In a family history Anne recently completed, she recorded that, "I started family research about 1969 in Phoenix, AZ, with Nancy Nielson as my teacher. The home computer and people I met online since 1988 have done more for my research than the previous 19 years total." Anne blessed hundreds of lives on both sides of the veil through her own research. She also taught many individuals how to find their own ancestors, thus helping to "turn[...] the hearts of the children to their fathers." (Malachi 4:6) There is no doubt that she was welcomed with open arms by many of those souls who were blessed by her efforts.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents George and Hazel Clark and her son Jonathan. She is survived by her loving husband LeGrand; sons Jeffrey and Taylor; and brother George. She has four grandchildren: Kathryn (16), Anthony (16), Elizabeth (16 months), and Julia (2 months).
