Michael R. Miyo, MSGT USAF (Ret), 95, of Indialantic, FL. went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 20, 2015.

He was born in Vojcice, Czechoslovakia and came to this country through Ellis Island at the age of three (3) with his mother Anna Miyo. His father George Miyo had immigrated earlier to secure a job and home for their arrival in the unique village of Roebling, NJ on the Delaware River. He grew up there with his brother John and was the first in his town to join the Army Air Corps in 1938.

Michael honorably served his country for 33 years in the military and is a veteran of WWII, Korea, and Vietnam.

He is survived by his five children; Michele Wells, Maurice (Denise) Miyo, Colette (Jack) Bainbridge, Mark (Mary Beth) Miyo and Yvette Witherell; his grandchildren, Nicole (Mark) VanAlstine, Matthew (Amy) Birch, Laurie (David) Birch, John (Yingmin) Witherell, Natalie Witherell, Zachary Miyo and Katie Miyo, also by his great grandchildren Kyle VanAlstine and Morgan VanAlstine.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Marthe Miyo, his grandson Lloyd Cearley III, and his son-in-law LaVerne Wells.

There will be a visitation held from 11am -12pm on Sunday, November 29, 2015 in the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL., with a graveside service to follow at 12pm at Florida Memorial Gardens.
