LANCASTER - Fred Stanley Raines, 85, of Lexington Road, died Friday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 4, 1913, in Cincinnati, he was a son of the late John and Mary Margaret Hughes Raines.
He was a self-employed carpenter and member of True Followers of Christ. He was the widower of Hattie May Raines.
Survivors include three sons, David and Mitchell Raines, both of Garrard County, and Irvan Raines of Lancaster; a daughter, Shirley Sheron of Lancaster; two sisters, Evelyn Stone of Garrard County and Sally Benge of Versailles; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Ramsey Funeral Home by Glen Gasser and Greg Harger. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons and grandsons-in-law. Honorary pallbearers will be Bessie Falb, Georgetta Covey, Della Mae Raines, Leonard and Jewell Kirby, Robert and Retha Little and Dr. James Werkmeister.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today at Ramsey Funeral Home.
