Cynthia Annette Auvil Gentry, 77, of Roanoke, passed away Monday, September 11, 2006. She was a native of Roanoke. She was a lifetime area resident. She was predeceased by her husband, Norris Claire (Buddy) Gentry; mother, Ann Auvil; and daughter, Becky Fisher. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Anne Gentry of Roanoke; daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Tim Fitzpatrick of Roanoke, Terrianne and Bruce Schultz of Pataskala, Ohio; Beverley Johnson of Roanoke; sister, Wanda Robbins of Salem; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews and special son-in-law, Larry Fisher. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 15, 2006 at 2 p.m. from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel with the Rev. Nelson Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 14, 2006 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, 982-2100.
