Architect and Amateur Photographer. Hippolyte Jean Blanc was a member of Edinburgh Photographic Society, and President from 1888 to 1892. He gave lectures on architecture to the Society in the 1880s and 1890s and was described as one of the oldest and most enthusiastic members of EPS, having joined the Society in 1864. Being keen on technical and architectural aspects of photography he gave annual prizes, competed for by EPS members. Cause of death, phenomena.
