Born Monday, Oct. 14, 1940, in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of the late Guy C. Boward and the late Dorotha J. (Spickler) Boward.
Don graduated from Clear Spring High School in 1958. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was employed with Noland Co., and later as branch manager of Westinghouse Electrical Supply in Hagerstown. Don was a 50-year member of St. John’s UCC in Clear Spring, Md., where he served in various capacities. He was also a member of the Masons, Medairy Lodge 140 of Williamsport, Md.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kay F. Boward; two daughters, Julie A. Kline of Greencastle, Pa., and Amy L. Boward of Alexandria, Va.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, George T. “Jack” Boward.
Private interment will be at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Clear Spring. Arrangements by the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, Hagerstown.
