Grady Lee Eidson, 61, of Prescott, died at his residence Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004. Mr. Eidson was born in Waynesboro. He was the son of LeRoy and Lettie (Hollingsworth) Eidson. He and Shirley Little were married on April 17, 1976, in Fenton. Grady lived in Jones and Wayne counties and was a graduate of Beat Four High School. After graduation, he left for Flint and went to work for General Motors for 30 years and was known as "Mississippi." He retired in 1992. He belonged to the Arenac Sportsmen's Club and the U.A.W. Local #659. Grady was an avid outdoors man and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Luther Eidson; and a brother-in-law, Wayne Wilson. Surviving are his wife, Shirley; two daughters, Tammy Harmon and husband, Thomas, of Grand Blanc and Debra Ann Eidson; four sons, James LeRoy Eidson of Fenton, Earl James Eidson of Indian Rocks Beach, Fla., William Michael Eidson and wife, Sandra, of Grand Blanc and Vechem Elvis Canamore of Flint. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Vaughn Justin Canamore, Katrina Ann Canamore, Anthony James Harmon Jr., Tyler Austin Eidson, Alexis Marie Eidson and Dylan Shane Eidson and Joey Stiple; two brothers, Roy Wilson Eidson of Albertville, Ala. and Walter Lee Eidson of Shubuta; one sister, Ann Eidson Wilson of Columbus, Ga.; a special sister-in-law, Sue Eidson; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. next Saturday at the White House Chapel in Clara. Memorials in Grady's name may be given to the Hospice of Helping Hands.
