MARRIAGES
HART - PATTERSON - On the 19th inst., at the residence of the bride's parents, by the Rev. A.J. Swain, Mr. O. L. Hart, of South Strabane township, and Miss Eva Patterson of Franklin township.

In 1876 Evalyn's husband left her, and their five children, and "went west" to pursue an acting career -- Although, they were never divorced, her husband remarried in California in 1882. Evalyn is buried with her husband's parents in the Hart family plot.

MRS. EVALINE HART IS DEAD AFTER A BRIEF ILLNESS IN HER HOME
Evaline Patterson Hart, aged 83, died at 3:30 a.m. yesterday in her home at 240 Locust avenue after an illness of two days, from a slight stroke. She was born November 13, 1845, in Franklin township, one of 11 daughters of Mr. and Mrs. James Wilson Patterson. In 1865 she married Oliver L. Hart, now dead, and five children, Annie, William, John C., Harry V. and James W. P. Hart were born to this union. In 1885 she moved to Washington, where she had resided and was a member of the 2nd Presbyterian church.
A daughter, Miss Annie Hart survives, along with sons, John C. of Washington and James W.P. of Greenville; three sisters, Mrs. Joseph S. Hunter, Mrs. Joseph Clark, and Mrs. C.M. Manon all of near the old South Franklin township. She leaves nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock in the home of her son, John C. Hart, by the Rev. George P. Atwell. Interment will be in the Washington cemetery.

THE MRS. HART FUNERAL
Funeral services for Mrs. Evaline Hart, of 240 Locust avenue, who died Thursday morning, will be held in the home of her son, John C. Hart, at 17 North Wade avenue, at 10:30 o'clock Saturday morning; conducted by Rev. George P. Atwell of the Second Presbyterian church. Interment will be made in the Washington cemetery.
