Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Oak Grove Chapel, Saraland. Interment will follow at Mauvilla Cemetery. Pastor Asa Holly will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cheeseman was born March 3, 1924 to Cowan Ellington Woodham and Minnie Ellen Brannan Woodham. On October 22, 1949, she married the love of her life, the late Lawrence Asa Cheeseman, and in 1964 they moved to their new home, which she designed, on Kali Oka Rd. She was an active member of Eight Mile United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir. When Eight Mile Methodist closed she became a member of Saraland United Methodist Church. She was a 30 year member of the Mobile Bowling League.
Mrs. Cheeseman is survived by four daughters, Lawrann Cheeseman Gamble Fanucci (Frank), Candace Cheeseman Hulsey (Tim), Kimberly Cheeseman Holly (Tom), and Beth Cheeseman Carlson, nine grandchildren, Kevin Gamble, Heather Hulsey Seifert, Keith Jacks Gamble, Amy Beth Hulsey, William Hulsey, Jr., Asa Holly, Aaron Holly, Bethany Carlson, and Evan Carlson, and eight great-grandchildren, Emma Reid, Daphne, Drew, Beasley, Charlotte Ann, Sullivan, John Kenneth, and William.
