Mrs. Elsie Hamilton, 76, wife of Merle Hamilton, 1948 Indiana Avenue, died at 3:37 p.m. Monday in Fayette Memorial Hospital after a three months illness.
Mrs. Hamilton was born southwest of Connersville and had lived in this community all her life. her parents were William and Frances Alice Minor Porter. She was a member of Grand avenue Methodist church and the Garden Club, and a charter member of the Arts and Crafts sewing club. she and Mr. Hamilton celebrated their golden wedding anniversary January 20, 1959.
Survivors include three sons, James Maxwell, Jack Porter and William Merle of Connersville; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A son Charles Edward also preceded her in death.
