WILLIAMSTOWN, Aug. 12 - Friends will be grieved to learn of the death late Wednesday evening of Mrs. Gertrude E. Crispell, prominent woman of Williamstown, and widow of the late Dr. E. W. Crispell. Mrs. Crispell died suddenly at the home of Mrs. Lydia Ball a friend whom she was visiting at the time of her death.

Gertrude E. Crispell was born in Amboy, October 20, 1863, daughter of the late George and Lovina Look Wicks. Her age was 68 years, nine months and 21 days. Mrs. Crispell married three times, her last husband, Dr. Crispell dying in 1918. She belonged to the Order of Easter Star, Chapter 122, was a part of matron, and highly regarded by all her co-workers. In 1908 she joined the Presbyterian church and has served several years as a Sunday school teacher. She also belonged to the Williamstown Grange No. 899.

Surviving are several cousins; Mrs. Elmer N. Harris, Thomas Look of Williamstown; Thomas W. Look and Arthur Look of Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon and 2:30 at the Presbyterian church in Williamstown.
