Musician and Songwriter. Taylor drummed with the pioneering British heavy metal band, Motörhead, from 1975 to 1984 and then again from 1987 to 1992, and played on the bulk of the band's classic recordings. Formed in 1975 by bassist, singer and songwriter Ian Fraser Kilmister - better known as Lemmy - Motörhead became one of the defining British metal bands of the 1980s. Taylor recorded on all the band's major albums, including 'On Parole' (1979), 'Ace of Spades' (1980), 'No Sleep 'til Hammersmith' (1981), 'Another Perfect Day' (1983), 'Rock 'n Roll' (1987) and 'March or Die' (1992). Taylor, who also drummed for the band Waysted in 1985, died after a prolonged illness.
