Henry served as a First Lieutenant with the 701st Bomber Squadron, 445th Bomber Group, Heavy, U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was from Queen Anne's County, Maryland and died when the Bomber he was flying in crashed in a "Non Battle" related incident during the war. He was awarded the Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters and a Purple Heart.
