I believe this was the Dewey Clampet that was married to Carrie Bitner, between 1920 and the time of her death. Her death cert indicates Dewey Clampet from Malakoff was the informant.

Dewey is also listed on the 1920 Houston County, Texas (Carrie's birthplace and residence the same year) census as a miner, the same occupation as his father.

Oddly both of Dewey's wives died of tuberculosis.

Funeral services for Dewey Clampet, 49, who died at his home in Dallas Friday, were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the First Baptist Church in Malakoff.
The services were conducted by Rev. Finch, with interment in the Malakoff Cemetery.
The Carroll & Lehr Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Clampet, former resident of Malakoff and resident for the past two years of Dallas, where he was employed by the Baker Hotel, died after a short illness of pneumonia.
He resided in Malakoff all of his life until the coal mines there were closed, and then was employed in Houston for six years before moving to Dallas.

Surviving are one daughter, Miss Alma Lee Clampet; one son, Bobby Clampet; mother, Mrs. Robert Clampet; two brothers, Collins Clampet and Bill Clampet, Houston; and two sisters, Mrs. John Neal and Mrs. Guy Garrett, also of Houston.
