Cynthia H. Stambaugh of Willow Grove passed away Thursday, Nov 05, 2015.

She was the beloved wife of Thomas L. Stambaugh, loving mother of Christina H. Stambaugh and Emilee J. Stambaugh. Loving daughter of Frieda J. Schueppel.

She was daughter of Frieda and the late Bernhard Schueppel

Cindy was born August 25, 1957, Northeast Philadelphia PA. She was only child. During her childhood, she lived in Northeast Philadelphia, Bingham Street. Since both of Frieda and Bernhard were from Germany, Cindy only spoke German in the house. In 1966 her parents decided to move and build a new house in Hatboro, PA.

Cynthia was alumni of Upper Moreland, Class of “76.”

Cindy had graduated from Montgomery County Community College with Business degree. She worked in the corporate world as Administrator secretary for several years.

Tom and Cindy started dating in 1977. We were engaged on Dec 24th 1979. Thomas and Cynthia were marred on June 20th 1981 in German United Methodist Church in Philadelphia, PA. They lived in an apartment until 1986. In 1986 they bought a house in Willow Grove, PA. Two daughters were born, Christina and Emilee. The house was filled with love and strong Christian faith and strong devotions together. Since Cindy in her life was taught a love for her roots, she encouraged her children to learn, and speak German.

Cindy was devoted daughter, wife and Mother. She was well known and was well like throughout Upper Moreland community. She was active in school district and United Methodist church. Cindy was involved with school fair, fund raising, school trips and member of UM Music Patron. At church she was involved with church picnics and dinners. She was on several church committees.

Later on she was employee at Upper Moreland School District. She was known as “Mrs S” at school district. She cared for all the students. She remembered all students name. All the students liked “Mrs S.”

Cindy enjoyed going to Ocean City, NJ and being at her shore house. She enjoyed the boardwalk, her favorite restaurants and reading on the beach. Her hobbies were: knitting, making blankets and scarfs, crafts and ceramics.

She will be missed by friends and family.

Relatives and friends were invited to a visitation at 9:00 a.m. and to her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Lehman Memorial United Methodist Church, 300 South York Road, Hatboro, PA 19040. Interment was in George Washington Memorial Park.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. Steve McComas from Lehman Memorial United Methodist Church, 300 South York Road, Hatboro, PA 19040.
