Maxel Bean Landers, 90, of Paris died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004, at her residence.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27, in Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Private interment follows in Forest Hill Cemetery under the direction of Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home. The family receives friends from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
She was born Maxel Elizabeth Bean on Jan. 13, 1914, in Swaim, Ala., the daughter of Tom Ed and Lucy Prince Bean.
She was a licensed vocational nurse and retired from McCuistion Regional Medical Center after 35 years of service. She was a long-time and faithful member of Ramseur Baptist Church. Her family and her loving neighbors were her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughters and sons-in-law, June and Joe Cox and Ann and A. D. Bush; and sister, Zona Mae Bean.
Survivors include a daughter, Patsy Wood and husband, Kenneth, of Terrell; seven grandchildren, Kyle, Kelly, Lou Ann, Lanette, Yevette, Jeff and Brad; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
If desired, the family suggests memorials to Ramseur Baptist Church.
