Mrs. Newton died on Sunday, March 12th at the Mary Washington Hospital Center in Fredericksburg. She was a U.S. Navy veteran, WW II, and worked 42 years for the C & P Telephone Co. (now Verizon).
She is survived by her sister, Charlene Penley & husband, Gene, of Falls Church; brother, Lewis Orndorff & wife, Georgie, of Alexandria; two sisters-in-law, Doris Orndorff of Fredericksburg & Elsie Orndorff of Arlington, and many nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edwin & James Orndorff; sister, Elizabeth Yourshaw, and brother-in-law, Mike A. Yourshaw.
Funeral service was held Friday, March 17, 2006 at the First Christian Church in Falls Church, VA, with the Rev. Kathleen Kline Chesson officiating. Burial followed the service.
