Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 16, 2017 at First Assembly of God in Rush Springs with Rev. Lonnie Harris officiating. Burial will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
Mary was born Thursday, January 16, 1930 in Rush Springs to John Wesley and Mary Alice Bratcher . She attended Rush Springs High School where she graduated Valedictorian of her class. She later married the love of her life, Marcelles Lee Long, May 27, 1951 in Rush Springs. The couple made their home in Rush Springs where they raised their family. Mary proudly worked for Rush Springs Schools for over 20 years. She adored her work and the people there. Her hobbies included reading, shopping and spending time with family. Most of all, she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was her source of hope and strength and she was looking forward to His return daily. Mary was a member of First Assembly of God in Rush Springs.
Mary was preceded in death by husband, Marcelles Lee Long, son, Reggie Dale Long, great grandchild, Bailey Cheyenne Long, her parents, brothers, Dewey Bratcher, Clarance Bratcher, A.A. "Hoot" Bratcher, Raymond Bratcher, Herman "Pat" Bratcher, Paul Bratcher, and Thomas Ray Bratcher; sisters, Daisy McGuire, Lillie McGuire, Lorene Blay, and Goldie Meadows.
Pallbearers will be: Shawn Haskins, David Meadows, James Flick, Rod Headley, Billy Pate and Leland Dalrymple.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Skyler Long, Ethan Long, Elijah Johnson, Easton Long and Kody McKay.
