Roy Ulysses Benear, 89, died October 21, 2015. He was born October 20, 1926 in Trail Township, Dewey County, Oklahoma to Grover and Elizabeth (Forsythe) Benear. A master carpenter, he loved to fish and, in his younger days, enjoyed going to the OU football games. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, son, Ronald Gene Benear, and daughter, Darla Kay Lock. Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Stella; son, Roy Lee Benear and wife Rose; daughters, Elsie Marie Lucas and husband Mark, Teresa Sue Randall; son-in-law, Marshall Lock; brother, Bill Benear and wife Doris; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Services will be Saturday, October 24, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
