Frank B. Deluhery, 59, of 1115 Grand Court, Davenport, retired electrical contractor, died unexpectedly early today at Scottsdale, Arizona, where he and his wife were vacationing.

Halligan-McCabe Funeral Home, Davenport, will be in charge of services.

Mr. Deluhery was in business in Davenport about 20 years and for nine years was president of Deluhery Electric Contracting Company.

Mr. Deluhery was one of four Quad-Citians honored by Marycrest College for "substantial contributions to its progress" in 1968. Deluhery had served as chairman of the educational facilities committee of the college.

The former contractor held positions of authority on electrical installation work for the Tennessee Valley Authority and a nuclear project at Los Alamos.

He was president of the Quad - City Electrical Contractors Association several years ago and also served the organization at governor.

Deluhery married Lucille Donovan in 1941 at Dubuque and established his business in Davenport in 1967.

He was a member of the parish council of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Davenport, and its Holy Name Society.

Survivors include his wife, sons, Patrick of Washington, D.C., and Robert, Huntington Beach, California; a daughter, Mrs. Terrence (Sheila) Funderburk, Dubuque; brothers, Edward, Dubuque, Patrick, Chicago, and Joseph, Wood, Wisconsin, and a sister, Catherine Quillin, Dubuque.

His son, Patrick, is on the staff of Iowa Senator Harold Hughes in Washington.
