CORNELIA ZEINSTRA...

was born to Marinus and Adrianna (Buitendyk) Overgaauw on January 30, 1927 on a farm near Leota, Minnesota. When she was four years old, she moved with her parents to a farm near Woodstock, Minnesota where she was raised. She attended school in District #49. Upon completion of her education, she helped on the family farm. On June 3, 1948, she was united in marriage to Felix Zeinstra at the Christian Reformed Church in Holland. Following their marriage, they lived on the farm. One year later, they moved into Holland. While raising their family, Cornelia helped at Ann’s Café in Holland on Friday evenings. Felix preceded her in death on April 23, 1997. After his death, she continued to live in Holland. In December of 2013 she moved into Falls Landing in Pipestone. On September 16, 2015 she entered into the Prairie View Healthcare Center and passed away there on Saturday, October 17, 2015, at the age of 88 years, eight months, and 17 days.

Cornelia was a member of the Christian Reformed Church in Holland where she was active in the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Holland American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed taking the bus trips offered by the Senior Citizens. She also enjoyed visiting her brothers in California and playing cards at the Senior Center in Holland. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren throughout her many years.

She is lovingly remembered by two granddaughters, Malissa Bentley of Tracy, Minnesota, and Rebecca Schulze of Tracy, Minnesota; five great-grandchildren, Andria, Ashlyn, Kally, Daine and Braylen; three great-great-grandchildren, Lucian, Kylee, and Larz; two brothers, Casey (Joan) Overgaauw of Bellflower, California, and Peter (Margie) Overgaauw of Kent, Washington; and one sister, Jacoba Boersma of Pipestone, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Randy and Al; her husband, Felix; her parents; five brothers, Frank, Jake, John, Willis and Adrien Overgaauw; three sisters, Jacoba Overgaauw, Pearl Smith and Wilhelmina Kuiper; and one infant sister, Cornelia.
