Philipp Otto Giese applied for Naturalization at the District Court of the United States at Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida. He stated that he legally entered the United States on 10 Apr 1962 and was married at the time of the application and had 4 living children. His residence at the time of the application was 754 Tanglewood Drive, Pensacola Florida. He also stated he was born on 08 Nov 1914 at Bremen, Germany and was a German national. His petition for Naturalizatin was granted on 14 Jun 1968 at Pensacola, Florida.

Interestingly, the 1960 Pensacola, Florida City Directory recorded Gresham T. Farrar and his wife, Vivian M. Farrar, living at 754 Tanglewood Dr. Gresham was still recorded as the owner/operator of Farrar's Service Station and Vivian, his wife, was the bookkeeper of Farrar's Service Station located at 1430 North Palafax. Presently, I can't explain why Philipp was living in the household of Gresham and Vivian Farrar in 1962, as noted above.

In January 1966, Vivian Ann (Murray) Farrar's marriage to Gresham T. Farrar, Sr. ended in divorce at Escambia Co., FL.

52 Y/O Philipp Otto Giese, a German national, married 47 Y/0 Vivian Ann (Murray) Farrar in April 1967 at Escambia Co., FL. Philipp Giese was divorced from Marcia Jean (Senelick) Giese in November 1965 at Santa Rosa Co., FL. As noted above, Philipp's petition for Naturalization was granted on 14 Jun 1968 at Pensacola, Florida. He was born on 08 Nov 1914 in Bremen, Germany and died at age of 86 Y/O on 29 Sep 2001 at Sarasota, FL. Interestingly, Philipp Otto Giese was an U-boat officer on U-181 during WWII. He was awarded the Silver U-Boat Combat Clasp and Iron Cross 1st Class. Otto Giese co-authored the book, "Shooting the War: The Memoir and Photographs of a U-Boat Officer in World War II", Publisher: Naval Institute Press, 1994.
