He Enlisted Febuary 2,1864 at Winchester Indiana By James Neff in the 124th Co H Indiana Infantry and Mustered in at Richmond March 7,1864 By Lt. McElhorne was mustered out August 31,1865 at Greensboro North Carolina, he applied for and received a pension for wounds he received during the war. Andrew Married in 1865 to Marry Walling D/O Isaiah and Nancy "Scott" Walling also of Jay Co Indiana.
Andrew and Mary had the following Children.
Alice Born 1865 Randolph Co Ind. And Eliza E McCartney AKA Lida born May 1869 and Mary j. born 1871. In 1874 Andrew and Marry was devorced and Andrew married Maria Eby on August 8,1874 Delaware county Indiana and they had 9 Children
Sarah Deat,Emma, Raymond, Whipple, Charles P., Myrtle, Ida, Ella, Effa.
Andrew was in the Soldiers Home when he passed away. He was given the Ritual Civil War Veteran Funeral at Marion Indiana and was buried in the Marion National Cemetery..
