Mother of eleven children and head of a family of four generations comprising 63 descendants, Mrs. Eclina Wright, widow of the late Thomas Wright, died at her home, 315 North 5th Street at 11:35pm Tuesday, aged 80 years.
The deceased was a native of Switzerland, having been born April 26, 1844. Her husband, to whom she was married in this city 62 years ago, died seven years ago.
Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Robert, Henry, John and William Wright of Belleville; Edward and Benjamin Wright of Staunton, Ill.; Mary, wife of Charles Fischer; Sarah, wife of Conrad Greent; Annie, wife of Henry Fuest; Augusta, wife of Theodore Schmidt, all of Belleville and Josephine, wife of Gus Vetter of Bartelso, Ill.; also 39 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will take place at 2pm Friday from the home to Walnut Hill Cemetery Rev. O. Pessel will officiate.
