Holly Kite married Francis "Frank" Fleming 29 December 1868 in Bastrop County, Texas.

There were six known children born to this marriage:
The six children are listed as:
1) James P was born 16 July 1869 and died 28 July 1873;
2) Hettie was born 28 July 1871, Nettie married Norman Ransom;
3)L. B. Lydia was born 31 December 1873, Lydia married Charles Fletcher, Lydia died 14 December 1944;
4) Annie Elizabeth was born 31 December 1875 and died 26 April 1880;
5) Thomas "Tom" as listed in the Fleming Family Bible was born 05 March 1878. Thomas married Ada bell Rankin on September 1902 in Bastrop County, Texas. Thomas Francis Fleming died in Elgin on 04 July 1954 and is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, McDade, Texas, near his father and grandparents;
6) Ethan Daten "Ede" was born 08 April 1880. Ethen Dayton Fleming's World War I Registration Card shows that he registered in Tishomingo, Johnson County, Oklahoma. Ethan married Nora "Elnora" Fleming, and Ethan died 29 January 1952 in the Texas Panhandle, Gray County, according to Texas State Archives.

Records will show that Holly Kite Fleming gave birth to their sixth child on 08 April 1880 and Holly Kite Fleming died on the 14th day of April 1880. Also in the month of April 1880, her youngest daughter, Annie Elizabeth, died on 26 April 1880. This death left the thirty-four-year old father with four children, one of which "Ede" was only days old.

It is noted that extensive research has been conducted a cemeteries search for the remains of Holly Fleming and her two children; however, no graves or information has been found.
