(Research): Joseph Birchard Firsbie's grandfather, Joseph Frisbie, is said to have served in the Revolutionary War, and his paternal grandmother, Sarah Rogers, is said to have been a descendant of john Rogers, the martyr of Smithfield, England.

Elihu Frisbie was born in New York. Parents were Joseph Frisbie and Sarah Rogers Frisbie.
