BIG THANKS to all who visit my Dad here.

"Hank" was a WW2 Veteran

Dad grew up in very hard times, but always made the best of everything until the day he died. His mother died when he was very young and he and his brother Norbert were raised mostly by their Grandparents.

Dad worked for the Michigan Bell Telephone Company for 41 years. He had eight children and was married to my mother for over 50 years.

Dad died from a heart attack. He had been watching a lot of the media coverage of the the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

When I see a bird in my yard, I think of him. He knew all about nature and he meant the world to me.

I miss talking to him about ANYTHING and EVERYTHING.

Henry T. Ryan 79 of Westland, was embraced by his Saviour 9/13/01.

The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. til 5 p.m. 9/16 at The Village Chapel, 123 S. Second St., Fowlerville.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. 9/17 at St. Martha s Catholic Church, 18200 Oakwood Blvd, Dearborn.

Viewing is available one hour prior to the service.

Henry T. Ryan was born 11/12/21 in Roseville, MI.

He was the son of Jeanette Lily Rae and Richard Norbert Ryan.

He was a 1940 graduate of Roseville High School.

He worked for Michigan Bell Telephone before his service in WWII. He was a member of the 7th Army on attachment to the Air Corps. He served in the Pacific theatre, seeing action in Guam, the Phillipines and the Aleutians. A sharpshooter on the M-1 carbine, Mr. Ryan earned 2 Bronze stars as well as three theatre ribbons, along with the American Victory Medal. He earned a Purple Heart.

Upon return to civilian life, he resumed his career with Michigan Bell. Rising through the ranks, he retired as an executive in 1983.

He met, courted and married Patricia Ann Houle of Dearborn. They wed 1/31/48 at St. Clements Catholic Church, Dearborn.

Their union produced: Michael H. Ryan, 52 of Shell Lake, Wisc.; Timothy P. Ryan, 50 of Ann Arbor, MI; Kathleen A. Ryan, 45 of Dallas, TX; Mark W. Ryan, 43 of Washington, MI, Karen L.
