FROM THE DAILY WORLD NEWSPAPER, JUNE 14, 2015, THE OBITUARY FOR ELAINE FRANCES BOUDREAUX-JOUBERT READS:

Opelousas - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Elaine Frances Boudreaux Joubert, at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2015, at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lawtell. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the St. Bridget Cemetery. Father Henry Broussard will celebrate the Mass.

Elaine was a resident of Lawtell. She passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015, at the Eunice Manor, at the age of 90. Elaine was retired from the St. Landry Parish School Board after 20 years. She was a creative person, loved painting, baking wedding cakes, interior decorator, traveling throughout the US, Europe, Mexico and Canada. She was a very good cook, and loved to eat. Elaine was a member of the Crusillo group, Catholic daughters of St. Bridget Catholic Church, and the Red Hats.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Olivier "O.C." Joubert, son, Edward Joubert, parents, Amos and Frances Pitre Boudreaux, son-n-law, Harold Bertrand, 3 sisters, and 3 brothers.
