LELA J. HARDY, 91, of Eads, homemaker, died of cancer Thursday at her home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with burial in Memorial Park. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Memphis. Mrs. Hardy, the widow of Thomas W. Hardy, leaves two daughters, Dorothy Douglas and Betty Billings, both of Memphis; three sons, L. F. Hardy of Bethel Springs, Tenn., J. T. Hardy of Eads and G. R. Hardy of Memphis; three sisters, Lucy Rainwater of Jackson, Ga., Etta Swafford of Austell, Ga., and Lottie McCravy of Carrollton, Ga., 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.
