Batterson, William Leonard Woods William passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 14, 2014 at the age of 18 years. Beloved son of Brian T. Batterson and Linda Preiss Batterson; dear grandson of Orsa L. Preiss, the late William S. Preiss and the late Leonard A. and Sue Woods Batterson; dear nephew of Leonard Batterson, Barbara Henderson, William Batterson, Mary Duffy, Sue Batterson, Patrica Muckerman, Robert Batterson and William A. Preiss; our dear cousin and a dear friend to many. Will was a freshman student at Truman State University and a 2015 graduate of Ladue Horton Watkins High School. An heroic spirit gone too soon, he will be sorely missed. Services: The Funeral Services will be conducted at THE LUPTON CHAPEL, 7233 Delmar Blvd., University City on Saturday, September 19 at 10 a.m. Interment Bellerive Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to a scholarship that has been established at Truman State University in William's memory. Contributions may be sent to the Truman State University Foundation c/o the William Batterson Memorial Scholarship, McClain Hall, 205, 100 E. Normal Street, Kirksville, MO 63501.
