In 1880, in Jones County, North Carolina, there is a Francis Bennett living in the household of John N. and Mary E. Whitford in Pollocksville Township, Jones County, North Carolina. He is age 18, born about 1862 in North Carolina as were both of his parents. He is a farm laborer. He can read and write.

On 24 December 1889, F. M. Bennett marries Sidney C. Conner at Hardy Whitfield’s, Jones County, North Carolina. He is age 27, born about 1861 and she is age 17, born about 1872.

In 1900, he and his family are living in a rented home in Pollocksville Township, Jones County, North Carolina. His name is noted as Francis M. Bennett. He is age 38, born about July 1861 in North Carolina as were both of his parents. Also living with them is Perry Yates, white, age 40, born about May 1860 in North Carolina, who has no occupation.

Mr. Frank M. Bennett died at his home near here of typhoid fever on the 17th leaving a helpless family. Mr. Bennett was a very industrious worthy man and we all greatly regret his untimely death.
