Frank was raised in Camby, Minnesota for six years, before moving to Anamosa, Terril and finally settling in Spirit Lake. He served his country in the United States Army from 1952, until 1954. Frank was united in marriage to Laura B. Olson on January 10, 1960.
Frank worked driving truck for the Iowa Road Builders and Spirit Lake Ready Mix, before retiring in 1992. During his retirement, he continued to help John Ferguson for twenty years. Frank was a lifetime member of the American Legion and the V.F.W., both of Spirit Lake.
Frank is survived by his wife, Laura Fliss of Spirit Lake; three step-children, John Olson, and his wife, Karen of Omaha, Jan Thorne of White Hall, Montana, and Tony Olson, and his wife, Judy of Spirit Lake; eight step-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; one sister; and a step-brother.
