George Ludman, 80, a resident of Goshen twp., died at 10 am Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H Bloomer of West Liberty. Death was sudden and was attributed to a heart attack. Mr. Ludman was born Jan. 1 1880, in Alsace Lorraine, the son of Phillip and Christina Reidenour Ludman. He came to this area at the age of three and had been a lifelong resident there. Mr. Ludman was married May 24, 1905 at Muscatine to Carrie M Fey. He was a member of the United Brethern Church. Survivors include one son, Harry Ludman of Rock Island, two daughters, Mrs herbert Bloomer of West Liberty and Mrs Richard J Heath of North English; 10 grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, four sisters, and three brothers. Funeral services were held at the George M Wittich Funeral home, with interment at Memorial Park.
