Ian was born in San Luis Obispo, California, and raised in Suisun City, California. He attended Suisun Elementary, Grange Middle School, Fairfield High and Armijo High, where he was loved and respected by students, teachers, and staff alike. Ian played soccer, baseball, football, and golf. He was involved in Backpacking Club, ROTC, Key Club and Yearbook. He also played clarinet and keyboard. At the time of his passing he was a student at Solano Community College and worked part time.

Ian was an avid and generous volunteer. He coached golf for the Solano County Special Olympics and was an usher at the Fairfield Center for Creative Arts. He also delivered for Meals on Wheels.

Ian passed away from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and countless friends.
