William A "Willie" Thrash was born October 18, 1907, in Bloom Township, on the Thrash family farm, Fairfield County, Ohio.

He was the son of Ervin Albert Thrash and Mary Etta Finney. His siblings were: John Albert Thrash (1901-1972), (my grandfather), Freddie Thrash (1903-1907), (died when a horse kicked him in the head at age 4), ((Willie)), Lily Mae "Sis" Thrash Shannon-Needles (1910-2011), Woodrow "Wilson" Thrash (1913-1971), Mildred Lucile Thrash (1921-2004), and Bertha L Thrash (1924-).

When he was in his 20's, he worked on the family farm. But by his 30's, he was a section hand, working for the Railroad.

On March 14, 1942, he married Georgia Ann Poe (1918-1991),in Franklin County, Ohio.

He joined the U.S. Army at Ft. Hayes, Columbus, OH on March 25, 1942. He received an Honorable Discharge.

Willie and Georgia Thrash had two daughters, Mary Ann (1943-), and Mildred Louise (1945-).

He died on May 21, 1989 at Mount Carmel East Hospital, in Columbus, Franklin, Ohio.

He was buried on May 23, 1989, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Section: Garden of Resurrection - Block "K", Lot Number 109-D.
