Poster's note..
Mary was one of the finest quilters capable of making very small stitches per inch... so small, someone from the church once asked her upon seeing her quilts, why she "machine stitched her quilts"? Mary was also very generous and shared any and all photos, obituaries and related clippings she found at the family farm that connected the Ruperts families in the area. Mary had a great sense of humor and good natured. She was always in the kitchen where a bag of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies sat on the table for grabbing. She met J Vernon Rupert while he was "logging" near her family property in Edinburg Pa. They married in 1948 and spent her life thereafter on the family farm in Columbiana. She could drive a tractor in her days and never complained. We will miss her dearly as a visit to the old place will never be the same without her.

Grandson, Matt TAylor, composed and delivered from his heart, one of the finest eulogys to the group, he depicted her so well with humor and sorrow, not a dry eye to be found in the crowd.

** not sure of birthplace as poster recalls Mary telling of how family lived in New Middleton in a house just next to old Fire Station 21 on Struthers Rd. House may still be standing and be one in photograph. Poster will confirm Feb 9 2018. She told of how family purchased old house in Edinburgh Pa far off rt 224. Parents lived there until their death. She met spouse on property 1947 when he came to log trees on their property.

2022- it was one of Mary's dying wishes to locate a nephew born around 1962/3 to her sister and placed for adoption through Lawrence County Children's service. Poster has tried to locate him without success thru DNA.
