Danny Gene Spurgeon was born June 3, 1956 in Seminole, Texas the son of Hubert Charles Spurgeon and Lula Mae Murry Spurgeon. He was a pipe inspector with Curly’s Pipe Company in west Texas for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and barbequing. He was family man who loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a loving father, brother and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
Mr. Spurgeon was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Pat Bonds, three brothers, Ricky, Randy and Gene Spurgeon and a nephew Steve Booe.
He is survived by his children, Belinda Spurgeon of Cartersville, Georgia, Tim Spurgeon and wife Christina of Canton, Janie Spurgeon of Grand Saline; two brothers, Larry Spurgeon of Athens, Sammy Spurgeon of Shepherd, Texas; two sisters, Janie Logan of Jackson, Tennessee, Joan Holley and husband Jerry of Meridian, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
