John (Johan) was the son of Hans Jacob Neuferdt and Elizabeth Stump. He married Maria Magdalena Petri.

Johan's baptismal sponsors at the Lutheran Jerusalem and Friedens Union Churches were Daniel and Maria Stambach.

In the 1800 census, Albany twp., Berks Co., he (farmer) and Maria Magdalena are found. By 1820, same location, they have about 8 children, and they are sponsors of Magdalena, daughter of Christian and Catherina Neufert, in the Jerusalem Church, Kempton, PA.
