Wade Robertson Bearden, 79, Rainbow City, passed away in his home on the morning of Wednesday, May 14, 2008.

Mr. Bearden was a longtime resident of Etowah County. Mr. Bearden spent his career life in the dairy industry, growing up on a dairy farm, working as a milk delivery man and selling feed and supplies to dairy farmers. He was known for his industry knowledge, quiet wit and outgoing personality. Wade retired from Conagra Foods, Inc. in 1990.

Mr. Bearden was one of 10 children and for over 50 years, was active as a church volunteer, including many years as Superintendent of the Sunday School and teacher in adult ministries.

Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Ann Childers and Connie Lynn Farr; two sons, Terry Wayne Bearden and Jerry Wade Bearden; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Public viewing will be held from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at Morgan Funeral Chapel, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. The Rev. Shane Bearden will officiate. Burial will be in Rainbow Memorial Gardens, Rainbow City. A reception honoring the lives of Wade and Annie Lee Bearden will be held immediately following the graveside services at the Holiday Inn Express, 103 Walker St., Gadsden 35901.
