TWO SISTERS SUCCUMB AT ALMOST SAME HOUR IN THE SAME HOME

Mrs. Bryant Adams, aged 60 and Mrs. Tom Sissom of Tichnor, aged 58, sisters, died at the home of Mrs. Adams, Monday afternoon. The perculiar feature of it is that both were apparently stricken with the same malady. Mrs. Adams had been sick for some time. Her sister came to visit her. Mrs. Adams became serious, and Mrs. Sissom was stricken in a similar way, complained of suffering in like manner. The disease developed in a similar manner on both until death came. Mrs. Sissom died about five o'clock and Mrs. Adams about an hour later.

Both were members of well known and highly respected families. Mr. and Mrs. Adams have lived near DeWitt for many years. She is survived by her husband and four children, Mr. Elmer Adams, Mrs. Guy Ruffin, Mrs. Milton Purdy, Mrs. Walter Simpson and Miss Lula Adams, all of DeWitt.

Mrs. Sissom lived near Tichnor and is survived by her husband and several children. Both ladies were deeply religious. Mrs. Adams had been a member of the Baptist church for many years. She was a faithful wife and loving mother. The same may be said of Mrs. Sissom. She is not so well known to the people of DeWitt as Mrs. Adams.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Adams were held at the Hearn Cemetery, Tuesday afternoon, where the remains were interred.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sissom were conduted by Rev. F. C. Fox, and the remains interred in the Childers Cemetery, Tuesday Afternoon.

The unusual incident deeply touches friends and neighbors. Many attended the funeral services of both. We join with the many friends of the bereaved ones in expressing our deepest sympathy for them.

Note** Malissa Jane Roach Adams' parents are John L. and Clarissa Foreman. Buried at Childers Cemetery.
